Institute presentationThe University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden covers the entire spectrum of modern medicine and combines 26 clinics, four institutes and three interdisciplinary centers which work closely with the institutes of the faculty of medicine. Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and PsychotherapyIn a rapidly changing society like ours, more and more children suffer from behavioral disorders or emotional problems. These include major difficulties within family life, at kindergarten/school, problems with peers, continuous grief and sadness, anxieties, changes in eating habits, sleep or social behavior (e.g. aggressiveness). In our team physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, educators, occupational therapists and physical therapists work closely together. This cooperation provides the opportunity for a precise and comprehensive diagnosis and an individual treatment plan developed to meet the requirements of each child.
