Institute presentation

The UMCG is a leading Dutch institute for medical research. The UMCG Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is specialised in top-level clinical care and research in neurodevelopmental disorders, with a focus on tic disorders, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. This research is embedded in an interdisciplinary research institute, the Graduate School of Behavioural and Cognitive Neurosciences. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry clinical service has access to over 2000 new child and adolescent patients per year and has a dedicated tic and OCD specialty clinic, with 70 new annual referrals. The clinical and research teams include a total of 10 child and adolescent psychiatrists, 20 senior psychologists, 5 post-docs and 20 trainees.
